Golf Live renews partnership with Golfbreaks.com

Golf Live has continued its close association with Golfbreaks.com after confirming the leading golf tour operator as the official destinations partner of the game’s most interactive show for the fourth year running.

The Windsor-based company will be on hand at The Celtic Manor Resort from May 10-12, 2013, to showcase the best golf holiday destinations from across the UK, Europe and beyond, offering visitors expert advice and discount deals on tried-and-tested locations as well as exciting new venues.

Keith Mitchell, marketing director of Golfbreaks.com said: "We've been involved with Golf Live from the beginning and are delighted to be sponsoring the event for a fourth year. We are passionate about golf courses and travel, and Golf Live is the perfect place for us to meet and engage with golfers who feel the same way."

It has been another excellent year for Golfbreaks.com, with the firm having grown by an impressive 10 per cent in what has been a difficult period for the golf industry, while it was named International Tour Operator of the Year at the prestigious Golf Tourism Scotland awards earlier this month.

James Goode, event director for Golf Live 2013, said: "We are delighted to be teaming up again with GolfBreaks.com. They have played a key role in helping establish Golf Live as a must-attend event on the golfing calendar and we're looking forward to working closely together over the coming months."

Golf Live 2013 will, for the first time, incorporate a new Celebrity Cup, with victorious Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie returning to the scene of his 2010 triumph to oversee celebrity teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland at the three-day golfing extravaganza.

The new event, in aid of The Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation, promises to be one of the highlights of Golf Live 2013, with all the features that made the previous three events such a huge success also returning, including the chance to see top players in action, enjoy skills clinics and receive expert club-fitting. With the game's top brand names attending, visitors are guaranteed an experience that is bigger and better than ever before.

Mitchell added: "It's been great to see the concept evolve, and this exciting new format looks certain to help the event build on the popularity of previous years. Celtic Manor is one of our best-selling venues and is a brilliant resort that will set up perfectly for the new and improved Golf Live."

Organised by Brand Events and IMG, Golf Live has attracted an audience of around 40,000 golf fans since it was launched three years ago and is the most interactive show of its kind in the world.

The event offers amateurs unrivalled opportunities to get up-close and personal with leading professionals, with previous shows having featured Montgomerie, Gary Player, Ian Poulter, Darren Clarke, Paul Casey, Melissa Reid, Catriona Matthew, Carly Booth and top coaches like Pete Cowen, David Leadbetter and Denis Pugh.

In addition, the show is also set to feature the latest equipment from all the major manufacturers while visitors can discover the hottest golfing destinations, latest fairway fashions, cutting-edge game-improvement gadgets and gizmos, and everything else golf-related.

Golf Live 2013 will take place at The Celtic Manor Resort from May 10-12, 2013, and for more information and to buy tickets visit www.golfliveevent.com.
