The Seve Ballesteros Foundation
Following his diagnosis of a brain tumour in 2008, Spanish golfing sensation and former World No. 1 golfer Seve Ballesteros was motivated to set up his Foundation in partnership with Cancer Research UK to raise money for brain cancer research. Seve tragically lost his battle with brain cancer in May 2011, but his legacy will live on not only on the golf course but also through the Seve Ballesteros Foundation. Since launching in December of 2009, the Seve Ballesteros Foundation in partnership with Cancer Research UK have worked alongside the golfing world to deliver a number of successful events and partnerships and in turn have raised almost £2 million to date for life saving brain cancer research. We are proud to be continuing this vital work to make a real difference in the fight against cancer, and to one day accomplish what Seve set out to achieve – to beat brain cancer. 2012 promises to be an exciting year for the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, as we continue to raise funds for our world class research. The Seve Ballesteros Foundation are proud to be working with Golf Live to help us achieve that aim.
£1 from every Golf Live ticket sale will go directly to the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.
